About Hogar Builders, LLC

Since 2002, Hogar Builders, LLC has specialized in residential construction and custom home design.

Native Texans J. Homer Garza, son Kevin H. Garza and son-in-law Steve Carpenter formed Hogar on the principles of quality, efficiency and affordability. A good solid foundation lays the framework for not only houses, but companies as well. Homer has over 40 years of experience in international and real estate law. Kevin has worked in the development and construction industry since 1999, he manages the day-to-day operations and also designs and drafts most of the homes Hogar builds. Steve serves as vice-president of Hogar and ensures job sites are run smoothly enabling the high standards of Hogar to be achieved.

We build in our own backyards. Growing up in Shepard Park Plaza has given Kevin an in-depth knowledge of the areas he develops. Steve and Kevin both currently live in Oak Forest and Homer is a resident of Shepard Park Plaza. Contributing to the development and best interest of neighborhoods is an important goal of ours.
